Signature Dishes

Menu items like a ‘hot cross spam burger’ and ‘Japanese soufflé pancakes’ whet not only your tongue, but your imagination. A sucker for mid-morning spice and with a hankering for something hearty, I opted for the Kimchi rice bowl. My partner, lured by the words ‘pork belly’, chose the crispy pork belly benedict.

For lunch, smash hits include a hot chicken roll, packed with chips, stuffing and served with a side of gravy, or a club sandwich made with a buttermilk chicken schnitzel, as well as salads.

Whatever you do, do not leave without trying the Pavlova – already rumoured to be Melbourne’s best pavlova, this one is served with poached peaches, hot white chocolate mousse, vanilla cream and mandarin granita. It’s just a thing of beauty.
